What is an Amazon deals group?

An Amazon deals group is a Telegram channel, WhatsApp group or WhatsApp channel where someone posts discounted product links as they appear. Members get a feed of offers instead of hunting for them; the person running it earns an affiliate commission when someone buys through a posted link. That exchange is the entire business model, and understanding it is the key to reading these groups sensibly.

The format matters more than it might seem. Telegram channels are broadcast-only, so they scale to hundreds of thousands of members without turning into chat noise — which is why most serious deal operations run there. WhatsApp groups cap out at around 1,024 members and everyone can post, so they tend to be small, local and chaotic. WhatsApp channels, the newer broadcast format, sit somewhere between the two: one-way like Telegram, but with weaker link previews and no real search.

A good group is curated. A bad one is a firehose of every product with a nominal discount, because volume alone produces some commission. The difference is obvious within a day of joining: count how many posts you would actually have clicked.

How to tell whether a "deal" is really a deal

• ✓Confirm the seller and the variant. Deal posts link to a specific size, colour or configuration. The cheap price often belongs to the variant nobody wants.
• !Treat urgency as a sales tactic. "Only 2 left" and "price will increase in 10 minutes" are posted because they work, not because they are true.
• !Never pay outside the platform. No legitimate deal group asks for UPI transfers, OTPs or advance payments. Any group that does is running a scam, regardless of member count.

The affiliate link itself is harmless — it costs you nothing and the price is identical with or without it. What deserves scepticism is the discount claim, not the link.
