01 Agreement

By installing, opening, or using URL Editor Pro ("the Extension"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, uninstall the Extension and stop using it.

In these Terms, "we" / "us" / "Deals.Group" refers to the developer listed on the Chrome Web Store page. "You" refers to the person installing or using the Extension.

02 License

We grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Extension on devices you control, for any lawful purpose, free of charge. This licence does not transfer ownership; we retain all rights in the Extension's code, brand, and assets that we have not expressly granted.

You may not redistribute, repackage, or republish the Extension as your own. You may freely share links to the Chrome Web Store listing.

03 Acceptable use

URL Editor Pro is a developer tool. You agree to use it only for lawful purposes — including but not limited to:

  • Inspecting, editing, and rewriting URLs that you have a legitimate right to access.
  • Stripping tracking parameters on links you control or are authorised to clean.
  • Decoding JWTs and Base64 strings on tokens that belong to you or that you are authorised to inspect.
  • Switching environments or applying URL transformations during your own development, QA, or analytics work.

You agree not to use the Extension to:

  • Bypass paywalls, authentication, licensing, or other access controls you are not authorised to circumvent.
  • Evade fraud-prevention systems, anti-abuse signals, or terms of service of any third-party site.
  • Scrape, mirror, or crawl content in violation of a target site's robots.txt or terms.
  • Forge, alter, or sign tokens or credentials you are not authorised to handle.
  • Violate applicable laws, including those covering computer misuse, data protection, intellectual property, defamation, harassment, or fraud.

You are solely responsible for your use of the Extension and for the URLs, rules, and tokens you process with it.

04 No warranty

The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, all warranties including:

  • Merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
  • Non-infringement of third-party rights.
  • That the Extension will work on every site, every Chromium-based browser, or every Chrome version.
  • That URL rewriting, JWT decoding, or any other feature will produce a particular outcome on a given input.
  • That the Extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or kept up to date.

There is no service-level commitment of any kind. We may update, change, or discontinue the Extension at any time.

05 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Deals.Group nor any contributor is liable for:

  • Lost work, lost data, lost rules, or lost browsing history caused by the Extension or by an update to it.
  • Lost commissions, conversions, attributions, or campaign data caused by URL rewriting, parameter stripping, or rule misconfiguration.
  • Account suspensions, bans, or rate-limiting imposed on you by third-party sites for any reason.
  • Damages from a JWT or token being decoded, signed, or copied incorrectly.
  • Damages from a third-party tool, server, or service acting on a URL the Extension produced.
  • Indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, consequential, or punitive damages — even if we have been advised of the possibility.

In jurisdictions where some of these exclusions cannot be enforced, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the Extension is capped at the price you paid for the Extension — which is zero, because the Extension is free.

06 Third-party services

The Extension does not call any remote service of its own. Browser-platform features it uses (such as chrome.storage.sync) are provided by Google and governed by Google's privacy policy; we have no role in those transfers.

When you navigate to a URL produced or modified by the Extension, the request goes to whatever site the URL points to. That site is responsible for its own behaviour, content, and terms.

07 Changes to the Extension and these Terms

We may update the Extension and these Terms from time to time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by bumping the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Extension after a change indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms; if you don't agree, uninstall the Extension.

08 Termination

You can terminate this licence at any time by uninstalling the Extension. Uninstalling removes the locally-stored rules, environments, notes, and history that the Extension created on your device.

We may terminate or suspend your right to use the Extension if you violate these Terms or applicable law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (warranty disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) will survive.

09 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Extension is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bikaner, Rajasthan.

Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
